One of the largest bathing areas on the island with Pico Island in the background and a large sandy area. It is the most popular beach in Faial, with good support structures, such as accessibility for people with reduced mobility, toilets, showers, bar and restaurant, near the camping site. It is guarded during the official bathing season and has been renewing the Blue Flag status every year.
